Letter for ET Dolphins Swimmers, Fans and Families

We all have had a few days for the news from Coach Badger, that he will be departing the swim program at the end of the short course season, to sync in.  I thought it would be appropriate to share with our swimmers, family and fans that the ET Dolphin Board has met and began preparation to support the Coach’s departure timetable and to ensure the swim program continues with minimum disruption.  In the four years Coach Badger has been in Etown with our club, he has grown our program to new heights and moved our team up the charts in our state presence and ranking.  We recognize and appreciate his accomplishments.

The greatest compliment that we can pay our Coach for all his work is to ensure that this program continues to climb the path of excellence that he has forged.  In conjunction with ESFC, the ET Dolphin Board will be advertising for a new swim coach on several national swimming web sites and plan to have the job posted by Thanksgiving.  We hope to begin the interview process after Christmas, narrow the candidate pool and make a selection in time to have our new coach in place by the long course season.

Coach Badger has graciously agreed to assist us in this process and to be flexible with timing to support the program he has worked so hard to build.  We are very grateful to Coach for his continued support and look forward to continuing what he has started.  Winding up Badger’s final season in style, with excellent work in practice and even better meet performance swims is actually the highest respect and compliment we can pay to him. I know that we all wish him the very best.

As always if you have any suggestions or feedback on the program or our upcoming selection process we welcome your input.  On the ET Dolphin website you will be able to access the complete Dolphin board list which will have email addresses for all.  Please simply access the "Board" tab to get a current list of members and email addresses.  Feel free to contact any board member with your suggestions or feedback.

It is important to note the success of the last four years would not have been possible without Coach Badger.  We thank him for four great years and wish him the best in his next adventure.

Sincerely,

Chris Godfrey,

ET Dolphin Board President
